The Skin I Am In

This piece combines salvaged bicycle rims, recycled plastics from education images, fiber, and photography to illuminate, recontextualize, and highlight ageism and its impact. Expressed by  text and imagery, it generates visual and physical language that consists of tension in detailed order and repetition.  The work is designed to emphasize and question societal norms, identity, and memory inspired by personal experiences, that strives to reexamine the self , understanding, and boundaries in mental health.
